Baby elephants are rambunctious and lively children. They like exploring their environment and have a great time doing it. Take a look at how these stubby critters frolic in the mud and water!

They’re well aware that they’ll get wet and muddy all over their bodies, yet they can’t help themselves. Not only that, but they don’t hide their joy and delight on their faces. Overabundance of cuteness!

The topic of today’s piece is also these wonderful creatures. They become crimson after playing in muddy puddles. These calves, on the other hand, seem unconcerned with their appearance. They’re having a good time, and that’s all that matters to them.

These are orphaned baby elephants. They were part of an orphaned herd at Ithumba’s David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Visits to deep mud baths are part of their everyday regimen.

They may roll around in the mud, racing after their companions, and enjoy the finest day ever at the wildlife park.

With dust and red sludge coating their huge bodies, these calves appear to be rather amusing. We, as humans, can’t get enough of their adorableness and positive energy.

‘It was very hilarious to see them coated in red dust, some of them extremely comical – almost like clowns putting makeup on,’ said Mick Baines, an environmental consultant.

Do you know that elephants benefit from muck and dust on their bodies? They create a thick covering on their skin to protect it from the sun and insects.

According to Mr. Baines, the number of orphaned elephants in Ithumba has grown as a result of habitat degradation and poaching.

The orphaned elephants will be taken care of at the park until they are strong enough to get back into the wild.
