Dogs Decide That a Christmas Tree Blocking Their View Is Not OK

Jake and Rosie are rescue dogs that are great buddies. Jake came into the household a year before Rosie, and he assisted her in learning how to be a dog. They both enjoy playing whenever they get the opportunity and snuggling with their dog, Sarge. They’re always together – and occasionally get themselves into trouble together.

Jake and Rosie are both inquisitive and protective of their loved ones. They enjoy standing by the windows, watching the world go by and making sure no one is approaching to disrupt the calm.

“The two front windows are their guard points,” the dogs’ mother, Michelle Grandmaison, told The Dodo. “They’re the nosy neighbors,” says the narrator. THEY own the sidewalk in front of their house.”

“They were jostling for space in the window to bark at the delivery person,” Grandmaison explained, “and it intensified when the guy had to come to the door with the second package.” “That’s when they lost track of where they were, and the tree came crashing down on top of them.”

When Grandmaison returned home and saw the downed tree, she hurried straight to the surveillance camera to check what had occurred. She was curious as to which dog was to blame, but soon understood that it was a team effort.

“I was happy when the video revealed they didn’t get wounded or eat anything,” Grandmaison said. “Now I simply laugh about it.”

Unfortunately, there isn’t much further that can be done with the tree. It must remain in front of the window, but Grandmaison intends to ensure that it is not pulled down again — since Jake and Rosie will almost certainly try.

“It stands there to this day,” Grandmaison added, “but we intend on anchoring it to the wall or adding weight to the base.” “In the interim, our policy will remain ‘no breakable decorations.'”
