Lassi Rautiainen, a wildlife photographer, managed to capture heartwarming images deep in the wilds of northern Finland. The film portrays an unexpected camaraderie between two of Europe’s most deadly carnivores.

“No one knows why or how the juvenile wolf and bear became buddies,” Lassi explained. “I believe they were both alone, and they were young and unaware about how to exist on their own.” They appear to be at ease in each other’s company.”

The 56-year-old photographer has spent his life photographing Finland’s animals. His mission is to reconnect people with nature. Lassi’s goal with all of his work, including pictorials, essays, and books, is to show the beauty of nature and to convince people that they are safe in the wilds.
