Zhenya fell in love with a photograph of a wild sable she saw on the internet and determined to learn more about it. The wild animal turns out to have one of the most valuable types of fur on the planet. Because of its smooth texture and diversity of hues from beige to black, the bloody fur business considers it superior to that of other animals.

Sable fur is in high demand in Russia, where it is used to make products such as bedspreads and even undergarments. There are roughly 70 farms in the nation that rear and slaughter wild sable and other hairy animals, according to reports. And that was the fate of the lovely animal Zhenya saw on the internet: to die and become a commodity for someone else.

“Easy choice!”

Zhenya headed out to aid the unfortunate animal, determined to do her part in animal rescue. The lady told Bored Panda, “Eventually, I found that there was an option to purchase her out from a fur farm.” “I opted to save the little fella since she would have perished there.”

Now, the two are living together and taking full advantage of life. Zhenya, on the other hand, put in a lot of effort for her unusual pet. “Umora is a difficult person to get along with. She’s highly emotional, and occasionally frantic, as a result of her experience on the fur farm. Umora is also a very lively pet that is a bit naughty and enjoys stealing things. She’s a really energetic person who is also incredibly intelligent.”

When all is said and done, Zhenya recommends against keeping a sable as a pet. “You have to go through a lot before you can start living comfortable with it,” she explained. “It takes a long time and a lot of patience.” It might take a few of years for you to completely appreciate it in your life.”

Sables live in deep woods of spruce, pine, larch, cedar, and birch in both lowland and hilly terrain in the wild. Depending on local geography and food availability, their home areas varies in size from 4 to 30 square kilometers (1.5 to 11.6 square miles). When resources become short, they may travel great distances in quest of a meal, ranging from 6 to 12 kilometers (3.7 to 7.5 miles) every day.

Sables dwell in burrows along riverbanks and in densely forested areas. They are adept climbers of cliffs and trees, and they typically hunt during the hours of twilight, although during the mating season, they become more active during the day.
