This is a stunning image of a rescued lion hugging the guy who saved her life. Though they grow up to be the most courageous beast in the animal realm, lions are nothing but gentle giants, as this brief film shows.
Since the lioness was a little cub, Valentin Guener and Sirga have had a particular connection. The now 3-year-old girl was just a few weeks old when she was adopted and saved by the kind guy. Sirga’s siblings vanished due to a series of terrible occurrences, and her mother abruptly stopped giving her the so-valuable milk. The small lioness was saved from malnutrition by a group of individuals who brought her to the Modisa Wildlife Project in Botswana.
Things began to shift in her favor as soon as she arrived. Perhaps it was because she was surrounded by kind and sympathetic individuals, such as Valentin, the rescue center’s favorite, who slept next to Sirga under the stars until she was strong enough to manage herself (when she was about eight-month-old).
Valentin wanted to check if Sirga remembered him on a return there a few years later. Dr. John Hawkins, who was also present, recorded the incident on film, which was breathtaking.
He commented, “This is a video of my dear friend Val.” “He’s a wildlife conservationist who practically nurtured Sirga (the Lioness) from the time she was born. This individual is really motivating. He takes her on game walks with him, and she’s even capable of hunting on her own!”
