A viral Facebook photos of a cold goose attempting to keep an abandoned dog warm has gone viral. The post has received more than 70,000 likes and over 240,000 shares on social media.
The puppy was abandoned on the street by his mother shortly after birth and was discovered by the nice goose. The geese did not hesitate to use its wings to shelter the puppy who was trembling from the cold and keep him warm in the frigid weather.
For a baby that wasn’t its own, the goose sacrificed part of its warmth.
She wrapped the pup in her feathers to protect it from the freezing temperatures. Her efforts, she believed, would keep him alive.
The goose later petted the dog with its beak and kept him warm beneath its wings until they were rescued by a photographer. It truly became a mother goose in this circumstance.
