Just because someone is in a bad situation doesn’t mean they aren’t in love.
Look no farther than this homeless man named Choco and his two adorable puppies, Shaggy and Nena, to prove it.
A park-goer in Bucaramanga, Colombia, recently noticed a romantic scenario unfolding on some nearby steps. Choco and his dogs sat down in the cool night air together.
But it was evident from away that this wasn’t going to be any ordinary night for the three close pals. This was a unique evening.
Choco placed a party hat on each of the pups’ heads while the passerby watched. He soon brought out a cake and candles. Then he started singing.
It was Shaggy’s birthday, and Choco was throwing him the sweetest little party:
Following the completion of the video, the person who was shooting contacted Choco to discover his name and story, as well as to offer assistance to him and his dogs. However, after the video was made public, many more people would follow suit.
Choco, it turns out, has spent the previous few years on the streets after fleeing an abusive family. Meanwhile, he ensures that Shaggy and Nena never go hungry.
Strangers are now doing the same thing for him.
A number of Good Samaritans have stepped forward to help Choco and his dogs get back on their feet.
And the park where he frequents has become a gathering spot for other animal lovers, who’ve come to donate food and supplies — and to have Choco pose for pictures with their own pups.
Choco, Shaggy, and Nena’s lives will hopefully improve soon as a result of the help they’re receiving.
Meanwhile, based on their mutual affection, it’s evident that they already have something more valuable than gold.
