An unique pair of patients came to Dr. S.M. Ahmed’s medical facility in India earlier this week.

It was a mother monkey and her little youngster who looked to be pleading for help.

According to IndiaTimes, Ahmed noticed that the monkey outside his clinic had an injury on her head, and her baby had a hurt leg. Ahmed then signaled for the monkeys to come inside.

There, with her baby clutched around her chest, the monkey sat calmly as Ahmed offered treatment to both her and her child.

“Dr. Ahmed administered tetanus injection and also spread ointment on the wounds of both the monkeys,” the news outlet reported.

Here’s that moment on video:

Following treatment, the mother monkey and her infant were permitted to relax on the clinic’s bed while a swarm of onlookers came to witness Ahmed’s unusual patients. Despite the commotion, the monkey had selected the ideal location to request help for her young.

After that, the couple was said to be healthy enough to leave the clinic on their own — a happy ending made possible by both the mother’s love for her child and the doctor’s willingness to help.
