In 2018, Paula Northway Poland was traveling with several friends when one of them casually photographed her feeding seagulls. However, they were unaware that the picture would contain the ultimate animal photobomb.
When they made the decision to go for a walk on the beach, the group of friends had flown to Texas from the frigid winter in Utah. The Dodo quoted Poland as saying, “This was our first day at the beach, and my buddies remained on the shoreline while I walked to the ocean to feed the seagulls so I’d be away from people.
Poland had no idea that Christine Mather-Poole had captured the quiet scene with her phone’s camera. Christine took the shot, and it wasn’t until after that that we realized there had been a spectacular photobomb, according to Poland.
A bird took flight right after the shutter was clicked, producing a disturbing perspective trick. Later that evening, as the companions looked over the pictures, they noticed a gigantic bird looming above Poland.
Forced perspective was used to achieve the appearance, which appeared to have been generated using Photoshop.
They knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime shot, especially after seeing the other seagull pictures they had taken that day.
“Christine wasn’t even aware that he had entered the scene via plane. At the time, she was unaware of it, according to Poland. It was just good fortune.
To demonstrate that everything really is larger in Texas, Poland had the picture of the enormous bird reproduced and framed. It now hangs in her living room.
