Dogs are well-known for being the prettiest and most innocent of burglars. However, owing to his conduct, a sad stray dog obtains a permanent home!

It all began when employees at a Dollar General in Kenansville, North Carolina, noticed a large dog entering the store with only one goal in mind: to steal a purple plush unicorn. When the workers were caught red-handed, they recovered the toy and kindly invited the four-legged customer outside.

However, the staff’s measures did not prevent the pup from receiving what he desired, so he returned at least five times for the toy he desired, but each time he left empty-handed. As a result, they sought assistance from Duplin County Animal Control.

When they arrived, the animal control officers made the nicest gesture for the four-legged burglar. Before sending them both to the shelter, Officer Samantha Lane decided to buy the toy with her own money and give it to this gentle giant.

What transpired next seemed to be straight out of a fairy tale. When he arrived at the shelter, the dog, who had been given the name Sisu by the staff, was ready for a picture shoot. It goes without saying that his newest stuffed companion was not among them.

They had no idea, however, that the photo of this charming couple would go popular on Facebook. But that’s not all: Sisu and his purple unicorn both found a forever home a few days later.

“This is what happens when you break into the dollar general consistently to steal the purple unicorn that you lay claim to but then get animal control called to lock you up for your B & E and larceny but the officer purchases your item for you and brings it in with you,” the shelter’s Facebook post reads.
