Steve Muise, who lives in Alberta, Canada, is accustomed to seeing many deer and fawns roaming the forest, but this week he came across a mother and kid combination, which touched his heart even more.
Muise and his wife Lalaine were returning from an excursion to Edmonton when they saw a mother moose waiting by the side of the road with her young calf.
They came to a complete stop as they gazed in astonishment at the adorable infant. The young calf followed his mother across the street safely with slicked-down fur and shaky legs.
The Muises just looked on, recording the sweet scene and waving down approaching motorists to give the animals their space.
“Not many have seen calves that young,” Steve Muise told The Dodo. “I think it was just born within hours.”
After the new little family made their way to the other side of the road, Muise drove home with a beautiful reminder of just how special the bond between animal mom and child is.
Muise is delighted that he will always be able to recall the great occasion after releasing the footage of the endearing meeting online. The video has received thousands of views since it was posted.
Nothing is better than witnessing the love amongst a family; after all, it is baby season.
Driving teacher Muise stated of her students: “My students were astounded.” One of the most incredible sights I have ever witnessed.
