Brendan Lang made the decision to soak in the breathtaking beauty all around him when he and his partner were home visiting his family in New Zealand. He also hoped to shoot some fantastic pictures in the process. Lang believed this was his moment as they were strolling along a cliff with views of the ocean and a lighthouse.
According to Lang, “I wanted to capture the lighthouse while also getting a photograph of the cliffs and water since I appreciate the harshness of the location.”
Lang took several additional photos during the day, but she didn’t review them all right away.
He was scrolling through what he’d captured — and was shocked when he came across the photo with the lighthouse.
In the center of the photo, emerging from the clouds, was a giant, ethereal seagull, and Lang had no idea how he’d ended up there.
“[It’s] funny because I don’t even recall seeing a seagull during the moment I was down taking some pics,” Lang said.
Was the seagull some kind of magical creature who emerged from the clouds to make his presence known? Maybe, but Lang suspects there may be a more logical explanation.
“My photos are taken on my Samsung S21 Ultra smartphone, and I believe whilst taking photos, a seagull had sailed past in between the photo’s shutter,” Lang said. “I’m not really too sure, but love this image.”
It’s okay that the beautiful seagull will probably always be a little mysterious. Many people fell in love with the stunning picture after Lang uploaded it online.
Many people commented on how serene and angelic the image seems, according to Lang.
Lang is undoubtedly happy that the seagull appeared in the picture in such a grand stance.
