Animals have often demonstrated that they are the gentlest spirits when it comes to assisting those in need. Nonetheless, their boundless compassion never ceases to astonish us. This time, a video of a gorilla offering love to a small injured bird went viral, and rightfully so!
The image was captured on CCTV at a zoo in New South Wales, Australia, and depicts a gorilla who is concerned about a bird that has fallen into his enclosure. The big gorilla goes to investigate as soon as it detects the little bird. Then he cautiously settles down next to the defenseless bird, gently caressing it to check on it. To many who observed the wonderful deed, it was nothing short of astounding.
“He’s so gentle with it,” one of the witnesses can be heard, as another one says, “It looks like he’s trying to get it to go.” Then a woman remarks: “How awesome was that?”

The video’s description states, “When the bird didn’t fly away, the gorilla went away without ever injuring it.” “It seemed incredible that such a massive animal could be so friendly.” Although the gorilla’s motion appears to be uncommon, it should not be taken as such.
