We have seen a great deal of odd friendships between animals of various kinds throughout the years. And one thing is for certain: nothing compares to a dog’s compassionate spirit when it comes to caring for and consoling individuals who are in need of assistance. The best companions of apparently everyone are these creatures we call dogs, and this kind-hearted Beagle is no exception.
Molly – a lovely Beagle that lives in Australia, wasn’t on her best period of time as losing her puppies at birth left some deep wounds on her soul. She was nothing bud sad and depressed and she never felt that lonely. But everything was about to change when she met Poss – an orphaned baby possum.
The lone dog was hanging out in the backyard when it came across a little creature. The tiny creature was so terrified and confused. He most likely lost his mother and fell from a tree to get there. However, the adorable little baby quickly hopped on Molly’s back after seeing her, believing she was his mother. On the other hand, the dog was more than willing to carry him. Since then, the two have never been apart.
They are a strange match, Molly’s mother Sara noted. “I believe the possum believed Molly to be her mother and vice versa. No matter how unlikely it may appear, it is obvious that these two were meant to be together!
It’s very endearing to witness these two incredibly unlike animals seeking solace in one another. Molly demonstrates what a mother’s love looks like to her baby by snuggling with him and taking care of him day in and day out while young Poss is comforting his adoptive mom after losing her babies.
