Ask this small pig named Grizzly and his devoted companion, a mischievous pit bull named Apollo; they’ll tell you that the finest adventures are those shared with a friend.
Recently, the odd team embarked on an unforgettable spontaneous excursion and made lots of memories and new acquaintances. But for better or worse, their enjoyable day of exploring the area came to an abrupt stop when police authorities became aware of their antics.
But they don’t appear to have any regrets.
On Tuesday, police in Fontana, California, received multiple reports that a dog and pig were on the loose in a residential area, clearly having a great time together running around. When officers finally arrived to the scene, the pup and pig had settled down to rest on a front lawn, much to the delight of some children walking by on their way to school.
Though it wasn’t clear at first where they came from, the police say one thing was never in doubt: “The lil piglet and the pit bull were best buds.”
Apollo and Grizzly’s owner, Michelle Avia, could be located thanks to their microchips. She has been gravely concerned about the two because she lives only a few blocks from where they were discovered.
The Dodo was informed by Avia that “someone left our side gate open and they went out.” “Normally they remain in the yard, but I guess that morning they were feeling more daring.”
It’s unclear exactly whose idea it was to leave the house, but it’s not surprising that they did it jointly. It turns out that the 6-month-old pig and 2-year-old pit bull are genuinely best friends and utterly inseparable.
According to Avia, her family really adores their dog and pig and that their little escape was a tremendous eye-opener. As a result, they’ll be careful to ensure that their next neighborhood expedition is monitored. Contrary to popular belief, many really seem to enjoy that Apollo could be so caring with Grizzly.
“Who would have thought it? A pig with a “vicious” pit bull.” stated Avia. But they get along well.
