Two local police officers in Heidelberg West, Australia, saw something strange the other day while driving around the area.
It was a puppy taking a joyride in a little vehicle.

“We couldn’t believe our eyes,” Officer Lynda Giblett told the Herald Sun, adding: “Of course we had to stop and check it out.”
The furry little motorist was busted. His crime?
“Caught driving under the influence of cuteness,” the police department wrote.

Obviously, the dog wasn’t operating the vehicle by himself. With the automobile under control, his owner followed closely behind. It turned out that there was a very valid reason why the dog was roaming about without a permit.
Senior dog Buddy, as he is known, is both blind and deaf. He was given the automobile by his owner so he could continue to go walks with her and breathe in the fresh air.
Buddy does it now, but with elegance.

Evidently, the cops concluded that Buddy could get away with just a warning since he was so dang cute.
It truly brightened our day, Giblett added.
