On the one hand, it was Jax’s parents’ big day, which they’d undoubtedly spent months painstakingly organizing.
However, WAIT, IS THAT A POND?!?!
Alex Simon, a wedding photographer, posted some amusing footage from a recent wedding in which the couple’s cute puppy, Jax, was clearly playing the role of ‘best pup.’
While someone in that position should ideally assist keep things operating smoothly, the water-loving canine had other ideas.
Jax found a wonderful swimming place directly behind them during a picture session with the other guys. And, well, he just couldn’t say no.

Fortunately, the actual wedding ceremony appears to have gone by without a hitch, despite Jax’s lack of etiquette in taking that unexpected swim.
That is, everyone was there for something other than the “hitch.”
Sure, the picture session had to be temporarily halted when Jax splashed around in the pond, but for photographer Alex Simon, it just added to the couple’s special day:
“It made us all laugh,” Simon told The Dodo. “All he had to do was look for his chance, which he did!”
