For over six decades, Damodaran Nair, popularly known as Omanchetan in his village, cared for defenseless elephants. He adored all of these unique creatures, but there was one in particular with whom the kind guy formed an unbreakable relationship. It was like a father-son bond between him and the elephant Pallata Brahmadathan.

Damodaran, 74, died away a few days ago. One of his dying requests was to visit his old pal one last time. Unfortunately, his request was not granted, but the devoted elephant did come to bid his human best buddy farewell.

In moving footage, the elephant shows up at Damodaran’s house for a touching goodbye! A moment that brought everyone there into tears, including Brahmadathan handler.

“I couldn’t handle it when Brahmadathan lumbered up to the burial,” the guy told MailOnline. “They were madly in love with each other!”
