This chubby squirrel doesn’t seem to mind giving his stomach what it wants.
However, he recently found himself in a difficult situation as a result of this.
The RSPCA in England was summoned to the site of the squirrel’s clandestine snack-time issue the other day.
The fluffy-tailed local had apparently decided to help himself to the contents of a “squirrel-proof” bird feeder, where he gorged himself. Unfortunately, he’d become too fat to flee the murder scene when it came time to go.
By that time, the squirrel had pilfered both nuts and, from the looks of it, a lot of sorrow.
He wasn’t stuck for long, thankfully.
The rescuer carefully cut the bars of the squirrel’s small self-made jail cell using wire cutters. All the time, the squirrel stood idly by, possibly wondering how he’d gotten himself into such a pickle.
The squirrel and his full tummy were eventually removed safely from the location, according to the RSPCA:
“Thank goodness, we were able to let him free with only his pride in jeopardy!”
