A wonderful huge pig named Floppy was born on January 18, 2020, but ever since he entered the world, his journey has been quite difficult. The young pig was born with head-shaking syndrome, an uncontrollable tremor, and the veterinarians believed he had no chance of survival.

Little Floppy was in a terrible condition since he was unable to walk, nurse, or do many other things on his own. Given that he would only survive for a week, the veterinarian who examined the small pig declared that it was the worst case he had ever seen and suggested death.

However, Chelsey Weaning, a woman who lives in the state of West Virginia, wanted to change the pig’s life and give him another chance.

When Floppy was born, Chelsey recognized that her sister-in-law and husband were having trouble deciding what to do with the pig, she said. She decided to tell them she could take him home and take care of him 24 hours a day at that time.

Everyone was surprised, since the woman knew nothing about pigs, but she has always had a very big heart to rescue animals in need.

Chelsey told Bored Panda :

“My sister-in-law hated the idea of euthanasia, my husband and I were determined to let this little pig live his life, even if only for a short time.”

When Floppy arrived at his new residence, a typical home, he was bottle-fed every three hours and had access to all the luxuries he need. Initally, the plan was to retain him for a few weeks, see him through, and then transport him to a sanctuary. However, circumstances altered a little.

Floppy had won the hearts of his family, and when it came time to deliver him to the sanctuary, they didn’t want to do it. Chelsey and Floppy grew close, and as a result, she understood that the small pig would become a member of his family.

Floppy quickly developed into a charming, perceptive, and gregarious little pig that never wants to be alone and enjoys being around others.

Comment from Cherlsey:

“He learnt how to use the stairs and open doors. He also enjoys eating, stomach massages, and swimming. Every day, we lead him on a leash for a stroll. It is extremely unique and unlike many other pigs.

Since he was born a year and a half ago, Floppy has become quite the domestic pig. He likes spending time with his adopted brothers—two dogs and two cats—who are his greatest buddies and frequently go on trips and play practical jokes with him.

The little pig has been so successful that his family created a business, Floppy and Friends , and the profits are donated to different shelters.

Floppy’s story is an example that hope is the last thing to be lost, and you have to believe that everything is possible.

Chelsea added:

“Floppy beat the odds and is living his best life because we simply gave him the chance to become the pig he was meant to be.”

Floppy now has his own room, his shaking almost completely gone; but whenever he gets excited or anxious, he usually shows up.

The most important thing is that Floppy has a normal life and will always be accompanied by his whole family and the people who visit him.
