Big Poppa is a lovable dog that has always been energetic and friendly. He usually enjoys playing with the many children that reside in his building whenever he has the chance.

Mom of Big Poppa Rae Ellis told The Dodo: “There is generally a youngster playing in the courtyard or riding a skateboard in the garage in the mornings on the weekends when we stroll or early nights. “He enjoys it, especially if they are playing with a ball, skateboarding, or scooters.

He’ll make an effort to acquire it and play with it, but he’s too little. They frequently allow him to try and give him lots of massages.

Big Poppa always looked forward to his daily playdates, but unfortunately, due to the current health crisis, he hasn’t been able to play with any of his favorite kids in a while. His mom started to notice recently how sad he seemed — and how all he wanted to do was sit out on the balcony and watch some of the kids playing down below.

“I noticed him trying to get the attention of the kids outside but he could not,” Ellis said.

Big Poppa now checks his balcony multiple times a day for different kids receiving some fresh air. They first failed to notice him since he constantly appeared dejected, but as soon as they noticed he was there, they made it a point to greet him whenever they passed.

Now that they are aware that he is watching, they are shouting BIG POPPA continuously, and Ellis described how excitedly he is jumping around.

Every time, hearing his favorite children call his name brightens his day, and his mother enjoys seeing him so content after being depressed for so long.

Big Poppa misses his buddies so much, but for the time being he’s content to simply observe them from the balcony as he waits for the day when he can resume having playdates.
