For the past five years, Gerardo Ortiz’s restaurant, Ajilalo in Peru, has had a very unique and rather odd visitor. A homeless dog wandering the streets chose to come to a halt at the restaurant’s door, giving a poignant expression that indicated he was starving.
Although Gerardo could easily reject down the homeless dog, he instead provided him a nice complimentary lunch prepared just for him. Since then, the man has developed an endearing custom that is still going strong today. Gerardo’s restaurant gives the starving dog a free supper every day after that.
But it wasn’t long before the man’s kindness and generosity became known among the many other strays in the town. More dogs quickly began to arrive, and of course, Gerardo welcomed them with a delicious meal.
Restaurant owner makes free dog food
Currently, Gerardo and his restaurant are visited by many homeless dogs, some are regular customers and others are new visitors passing through. Of course, they all have something in common, and that is to be able to satisfy their hunger thanks to the delicious food that the good-hearted man offers them.
Whenever the guy is at work, he stares into the eyes of a new dog, waiting to see if the story that he may receive a free dinner there is true.
Your human customers are ecstatic at the deeds of their favorite restaurant’s owner. They are occasionally moved by their deeds and bring food for the homeless dogs who visit the location.
According to Gerardo, who spoke to The Dodo,
“They are, in my opinion, the best customers. Fortunately, our clients have had a positive reaction to dogs. They treat them with affection.”
Gerard guarantees:
“They don’t pay us in cash; instead, they pay us with delight and wagging tails. They are appreciative, and we prefer to give rather than receive. Animals have always piqued my interest since I was a youngster. My mother instilled in us the value of assisting others, both humans and animals. She is a role model for me.”
This nice man tells us that a wonderful deed may make a difference in an animal’s life. His acts demonstrate that their lives are important, which Gerardo is delighted to demonstrate every day with his meals.
