Rescue tales, in my opinion, are about more than just saving animals and giving them a better future. They represent humanity’s better side as individuals do their hardest to aid animals in need, even if they are as small as ducklings.
In a severe storm, these nine ducklings were unable to defend themselves and were washed away by the river.
Their mother duck was only able to keep a few of her babies safe under her wings, but she watched helplessly as her ducklings vanished. They became stuck in a storm drain, and there was no way for the mother to get them out on her own.
The only thing she could do, however, was to ask for help from humans. She kept searching for passersby, quaking to them as she hoped someone would eventually pay attention to her crying.
No one knew how long she had been crying, but certainly, she’d never give up until someone offered help. Well, when it comes to their babies, all mothers can try everything to ensure their kids’ safety.
Fortunately, a wonderful Samaritan observed the vulnerable mother duck and chose to aid her. And it didn’t take him long to figure out why the animal was yelling for aid. He quickly summoned rescuers to save the stranded ducks.
The Phoenix Fire Department was also dispatched to assist with the drain gate opening. The rescue squad did what they had to do when the gates were removed: they saved lives. A wonderful video was shot of nine young ducks being rescued from the sewage. Let’s have a look.
Given a chance to reunite with her babies, the mother duck was happy and delighted. We are happy, too! Because these animals are all taken to safety. Thank the rescuers and the Phoenix Fire department for their meaningful job!
