A police officer in Colorado and a young owl she found on a forest road created one of the prettiest videos you’ve ever seen. The officer’s body camera captured their nice exchange, and it is nothing short of adorable!
The deputy and her colleague were traveling down a mountain road near Nederland when they noticed a little bird on the side of the road. The officer decided to investigate since the small creature appeared to be lost. The two had the cutest standoff ever a few moments later
Only after she got of the vehicle and approached the bird, the deputy noticed it is a northern saw-whet owl. As she reached the lonely bird, the officer kindly asked: “Hey, what’s up?!”
Though she wasn’t expecting an answer, it surprisingly came straight away. The baby owl just had the sweetest reaction when hearing a human voice, so it immediately started to twist her tiny head around. A moment that sent the officer into laughter.
The deputy then shouted ‘hello’ again, and the tiny bird’s reply was just as cute as before. The charming and hilarious chat came to an end when the deputies ensured that the small owl safely crossed the road and found its way into the woods adjacent to the road.
The Boulder Police Department then posted the brief video online. “Our deputies were driving when this little Northern Saw-Whet Owl halted them in their tracks,” they stated on Facebook. “It flew safely away after some strange head twisting (on both sides).”
