The animal realm has an unending supply of spectacular moments. They all appear to show their thanks and affection for people that assist them in such a unique and kind manner. It makes no difference whether we’re talking about four-legged creatures or birds.

Swans aren’t the most friendly or cuddly birds, but this narrative shows that everything has a beginning. So it was even more poignant when a wounded swan lovingly embraced the human who saved her.

Years ago, Richard Wiese, the host of the TV show “Born to Explore,” has visited the U.K.’s Abbotsbury Swannery. And what it should have been a regular visit to the sanctuary turned into something truly remarkable.

When arrived Richard met an injured swan who was about to be transferred to a specialized hospital, so he decided to gave the poor bird some extra comfort. But what happened next left everyone speechless.

“I could feel its heart beating when I put it next to me, and it simply relaxed its neck and wrapped it around mine,” Wiese told ABC News. “When an animal completely trusts you, it’s a beautiful feeling.”

Because swans are territorial creatures, the scene was even more endearing. After all, he believed Richard’s aim was to assist him. Richard explained, “I drew it to my chest and it felt cozy or safe.” “It’s a fantastic feeling when you form a link and mutual trust with a nonverbally communicating animal, [especially] when the animal knows you don’t mean any harm.”

And while we’ve all seen all type of animals showing their gratitude to those to saved their lives, this isn’t the first time when swans prove they are such affectionate creatures!
