After 20 years, this mountain lion has finally been set free thanks to Animal Defenders International and their amazing rescue.
In Peru, wild animals are not permitted in circuses. Many circuses, on the other hand, demonstrate complete disregard for the law and continue to keep wild animals in cages. This is precisely what occurred in the case of this mountain lion.
Mufasa was compelled to serve a 20-year prison sentence. Thankfully, the objective of Animal Defenders International was to save all confined animals from Peruvian circuses. And, luckily, they succeeded. Mufasa was the final wild animal to be rescued, thanks to their unwavering perseverance.
However, because he was chained his entire life, Mufasa was in no shape to be returned to the wild. So he was moved in a sanctuary into the Peruvian forest, where an enclosure was built for him.
Here, the adorable creature is finally able to enjoy its freedom!
