And it’s obvious.

Cait was breastfeeding her young daughter at home the other day when the calm of the moment was disrupted in an instant. Frankie, who had been resting out front, found herself in serious distress and began yelling for assistance.

“Before bedtime, we were changing into pajamas and having a meal. I heard Frankie calling out to us, “Cait told The Dodo about it.

Frankie had been attacked by an eagle that had flown down from the skies. Fortunately, despite the fact that she was busy breastfeeding her baby, Cait rushed to help her.

Here’s a video of the moment:

@frankythegoose We have lost 3 chickens in the last week from what I was told was eagles which I believed hawks were preying on them but watch Frankie (our female goose) get taken. Thanks to Frankie sounding the alarm, Cait was able to drive the eagle away in time — even while her arms literally were full.

“Frankie is doing great! She was a bit shaken up, but physically she’s fine — no punctures,” Cait said. “I’m so proud of her. She knew where safety was and that Mom always helps her!”

Cait would go to any length to defend Frankie, whom she refers to as a “essential household member.” Though her daughter is still too little to comprehend the events of that day, the motive behind them is something her mother intends to teach her.

“It’s vital that we teach our children to respect and love all souls on this planet,” Cait said.
