It’s a common misconception that dogs and UPS drivers don’t get along, but if the tale in the video below is any indicator, this is not the case. Katie Newhouser has worked as a UPS driver for more than fifteen years.
She has undoubtedly encountered more dogs than she can count throughout the course of her lengthy career, but only one dog in particular has managed to secure a very special place in her heart.
As I pulled into the condo complex, he would always start barking, Katie posted on Facebook. When I stopped, he would always get into my truck.
At a location that Katie frequents at least a few times each month, she met Leo. Leo had been owned by a sweet woman named Tina since he was a little puppy. As you may guess, Tina and Leo had a very tight relationship, and even Katie could see the connection.
But one day while Katie was stopping to see Leo, she learned that Tina had tragically gone away while she was away. The dog was left in the care of her son, a Marine.
So Katie reached out to the son and asked him if he would consider giving the dog to her, as she and Leo had formed a pretty close relationship over the years. Although she already had several dogs in her care, Katie knew Leo would fit right in. Now, they are all one big happy family.
He undoubtedly found it perplexing at first, but she claimed he has adapted well. He and his brother Moose are devoted to one another. Although Bailey, his sister, took some time to warm up, they are now playing. The mood completely altered once Leo entered the home.
