Whatever happened, it was certain to be a day to remember.
But then a bunch of cute onlookers showed up and made it extra cuter.
Earlier this month, engaged couple Sarah and Zach met with photographer Kathryn White for a wedding photo shoot in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
The sprawling, wooded setting added a perfect touch of nature to the backdrop. However, much to their surprise, nature would soon come front and center.
A group of raccoons abruptly appeared from the underbrush right in the middle of the shot, snatching the scene White was trying to photograph.
“We moved off the trail, but they continued to curiously approach us,” White told The Dodo. “They were just so adorable and sweet!”
The raccoons quietly moved on after the photographer had a chance to take some pictures of them with the happy couple.
Despite being upstaged, Sarah and Zach didn’t appear to mind.
White recalled, “We simply laughed in shock that it actually happened.”
In the end, the unexpected run-in with a troop of endearing forest creatures gave those pictures of the couple’s love a fairy tale-like atmosphere, implying that a “happily ever after” truly does await them.
White stated, “We decided that must be a positive omen.
