You have no right to label this fowl a “chicken.”
A hawk landed outside a farm’s chicken coop in quest of an easy meal, but ended up with anything but that, according to dramatic video that has surfaced. Despite having fence around it to keep off intruders, the chicken run area was breached by the bird of prey, who then set his eyes on an unwary hen within.
But just as the hen thought she was doomed, a heroic bird appeared and rescued the day:
The courageous flock patriarch was able to save his mate with a few kicks and pecks while quickly ejecting the intruder.
And the owner of the chickens, who uploaded the video on YouTube a month ago, couldn’t be more pleased with him for it, writing:
“My fence has now been repaired, but today my rooster fulfilled his duty by protecting the hens from a hawk that sneaked through a hole in it.”
