Recently, Emerice Hallock and her brother were traveling along a desolate section of roadway in Alberta, Canada, when they noticed something unexpected.
There, in the undergrowth on the edge of the road, stood a stark, white figure posing by itself.
Hallock first assumed it was merely a strange pebble, but she had moved too rapidly to be sure.
However, it turned out that Hallock’s brother had a superior view. He became aware of the amazing reality.
Hallock said to The Dodo that “he was urging me to turn around.” He reported having seen an albino porcupine. I said, “Yeah, OK.” He started to panic, so I turned around.
It wasn’t simply what Hallock’s brother was observing.
Sure enough, it was an albino porcupine — a rare sight indeed. The condition is said to occur in only about 1 out of 10,000 porcupines.
Hopping out of the car for a better look, Hallock couldn’t believe her eyes.
“It was crazy, honestly,” she said. “I’ve never seen a porcupine in my life, so seeing an albino one was mind blowing.”
The porcupine moseyed through the underbrush looking healthy and content despite being so noticeable with his all-white hair and quills. He appeared nearly to be aware of his greatness.
“He was very well!” Hallock remarked.
She even succeeded in filming the tiny child conducting himself in a video.
